Some day! My wife tentatively agreed to a road trip vacation in the not too distant future that combines hiking days, driving down the 101 and ultimately a weekend of watching racing at Laguna Seca.
I’m sorry to read about your puppy passing away. I lost mine a few years ago and took the sage advice of an old gaming buddy who said the perfect cure is a new rescue/adoption. We found two of the same breed that were scheduled for “review” in Texas, one the very next day. A few quick phone calls, some money my parents gracefully driving a bit to pick them up from the shelter and watch them while I got a plane ticket and flew them back and we saved two fantastic puppies from being killed. It didn’t take away the pain from losing my best friend, but knowing that his passing lead to the rescue o f two others made it more bearable.

Thanks. I loved the dog, but not like my wife loved the dog. Harder for her, it was.
